One Fine Day
[ rakaur on Mon Dec 20 at 05:15 PM // category: hardware, life, relationships, technology ]
Aww yeah, got my new hard drive. Maxtor 200GB ATA 7200RPM 8MB buffer. Heart.
But, more importantly, Kayla got my note. I’m going to be such a wreck tomorrow morning when I have to face her.
I’m optimistic though. Her sister seemed hopeful.
Some you win.

Look Ma, I Can Write a Note
[ rakaur on Sun Dec 19 at 09:57 AM // category: life, relationships ]
I’ve completely run out of ideas for the Kayla situation, so I broke down and did what everyone told me to do. I wrote a note.
I guess I’ll get someone to give it to her on Monday.

I Got Nothing
[ rakaur on Tue Dec 14 at 06:59 PM // category: eawr, life, relationships, school ]
What I got is bad English.
Anyway, I have nothing significantly interesting today. Scholar Bowl is fun. Finally got a few friends to join so that’s cool. No Kayla though. Bummer.
Yeah, I think I’ve pretty much abandoned all hope at this point. I’m fighting a losing battle, my friends.
In other news, I’ve been looking for something to code for IRC. I’ve been doing IRC stuff for as long as I’ve been programming, but you know, I think it’s all been done. There’s no magic in seeing anything work anymore, because I’m just so damn good I know it’ll work. I need something new, challenging, idealistic. Any ideas? Don’t be a cock, dbn.
I went and got my schedule changed finally. Now I have Advanced Graphics (vocational print shop) for my first two hours. Still got stuck with Social Problems and Communications. Communications is going to be freaking hard.
As you might have guessed by this point.

People May Not Suck?
[ rakaur on Tue Dec 14 at 06:50 AM // category: eawr, life, relationships, school ]
So, a few weeks ago I gave my AIM nick to a friend from school. She gave me another friend’s, and a few other peoples’, and now I have half the school’s female students on my contact list.
I’ve spent usually at least an hour talking to each of them, and they’re all so awesome. It’s weird. I’ve spent four years at a school where I was pretty sure that everyone hated me. I mean, especially girls (I haven’t had a girlfriend for like three years, I mean, damn). But, you know, they all talk to me and they’re all really nice and they all make me feel really good.
It’s interesting to actually have some semblance of self-esteem.

Crash and burn, my friends.
Crash and burn.

Christmas
[ rakaur on Tue Dec 07 at 07:09 PM // category: hardware, life, relationships, technology ]
I got a 200GB, 8MB buffer, Maxtor hard drive. Which is good, since my 60 has been slowly dying for a while.
I can think of someone else I’d rather have.
Sigh.

Crimson Regret
[ rakaur on Sun Dec 05 at 11:30 AM // category: life, relationships ]
Aw yeah, so apparently everyone knowing I like her includes her sister which includes her so perhaps I finally got something accomplished.
Perhaps not, though, knowing my luck I’ll be promptly informed she hates me.

Absolutely Never As It Seems
[ rakaur on Sun Dec 05 at 09:22 AM // category: life, relationships ]
Oh shit, those were some wacky dreams.
I was at a Casey’s I think (filling station/general store) and the girl I like and her family was also there (eg the Principal). So, for some reason it was taking an eternity to fill up my tank so I went inside and got some candy which took an eternity to pay for because they were all idiots and I yelled at them. Then for some reason I wound up paying them for the gas while driving away from the store in one of their cars. So I ran back to the store and that took an eternity as well. When I got there everyone was still there and every now and then time would run backwards. It was interesting. There are slightly more disconcerting details about the Principal and floating feces but I’m not going to go into that on a public forum that people from my school read.
It’s just not right.

Never Quite As It Seems
[ rakaur on Sat Dec 04 at 11:22 PM // category: life, relationships ]
I had a dream last night. I was in school, and I was walking through the halls, and I kept seeing the girl I like out of the corner of my eye. Everytime I saw her she’d be walking faster, until she was eventually running right towards me. We eventually turned around and hugged each other, and I woke up.
Waking up sucks.
Now I tell you openly
You have my heart, so don’t hurt me
For what I couldn’t find
Talk to me amazing mind
So understanding and so kind
You’re everything to me— the cranberries, “dreams”

Running With Ruby
[ rakaur on Fri Dec 03 at 06:19 PM // category: life, programming, relationships, running, technology ]
My Ruby book came, finally.
I just ran three and a half miles with like two minutes of combined resting.
Pretty sure everyone in the entire school knows that I like Kayla now.
So, that should sum it up for a few days.
